Speaking on BBC South East, Rehman covered the Gillingham Levelling Up Bid. Medway Council put forward an excellent £20 million regeneration bid to breathe new life into Gillingham High Street. The bid was unfortunately unsuccessful, and therefore raises real concerns about a merit based system of government when it comes to decision making as well as the fair allocation of resources.
