Rehman joined the Gillingham Anchorians for their pre-match lunch on Saturday (6 April 2013) before their final home league match of the season against Sheppey RFC.
The Gillingham Anchorians Rugby Club has been celebrating their success in securing Olympic legacy funding from Sport England. A £50,000 grant from the Inspired Facilities Fund will help finance the outdoor floodlighting of its training pitch at the Club grounds in Darland Avenue.
Recently in Parliament, in response from a question by Rehman, the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport supported the work the Club is doing to encourage women to participate in sport.
Rehman, pictured with the Club President and Club Secretary, said: "It is excellent news that this superb club has received funding to improve its training pitch. This will encourage more people to participate in sporting activity and help to build on the Olympic legacy."
